The lavish world of Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize is once again under the hammer. Just months after dozens of her luxury cars were auctioned, the flamboyant businesswoman’s designer handbags and 2021 Lamborghini Urus are next in line for sale as the South African Revenue Service (SARS) intensifies efforts to recover millions in unpaid taxes.
According to reports, SARS has seized much of MaMkhize’s moveable assets following allegations that she owes the tax authority over R40 million. Her PSL football club, Royal AM, was also reportedly sold to help settle part of the debt.
The auction house Bidder’s Choice confirmed that MaMkhize’s personal belongings will go on sale from Friday, 10 October, to Wednesday, 15 October.
Among the items listed are dozens of designer handbags and luggage pieces—a hallmark of MaMkhize’s famously extravagant lifestyle. Fans of fashion and luxury will recognise names like Balenciaga, Saint Laurent, Goyard, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Gucci, and Burberry among the collection.
But the handbags aren’t the only eye-catching items on the list. A sleek 2021 Lamborghini Urus, along with several construction vehicles, will also be auctioned. Even more surprising is the inclusion of everyday household items such as hairdryers, fans, washing machines, and trash cans—proof that SARS is leaving no stone unturned in its recovery efforts.
MaMkhize, known for her larger-than-life personality and glamorous appearances on reality television, has had a long and complicated relationship with the law. She has previously faced charges of fraud, forgery, and bribery, though she has continued to maintain her innocence.
Despite the mounting financial and legal pressures, MaMkhize appears undeterred. The ex-wife of businessman Sbu Mpisane has since embarked on a new chapter as president of Eswatini football club Mbabane Highlanders AM FC. Under a three-year contract, she is leading the team’s revival and reportedly hopes to take over ownership in the future, according to Goal.com.
The contrast between her glamorous public persona and her mounting tax troubles has once again thrust her into the national spotlight. For critics, her story is a cautionary tale about unchecked extravagance. For supporters, it’s proof of resilience and reinvention under pressure.
As the gavel falls on her prized possessions this week, one thing remains certain—MaMkhize’s story continues to blur the line between luxury, controversy, and survival in the South African celebrity landscape.
