The Africa Coastal Marine Tourism Trade Market 2026 is set to welcome Jake Keeton, manager, skipper, marine guide and photographer at Raggy Charters, as one of the featured speakers at this landmark industry event.
Taking place at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium from 17–20 March 2026, the event will bring together tourism leaders, conservationists, entrepreneurs and investors shaping the future of Africa’s coastal and marine tourism economy.
Jake’s participation highlights the important role of eco-tourism operators in protecting marine environments while creating sustainable tourism opportunities.

A Pioneer in Marine Eco-Tourism
Founded in 1992, Raggy Charters is widely regarded as one of the oldest marine eco-tourism companies in Africa combining tourism with conservation work.
Based in Port Elizabeth within the scenic Algoa Bay, the company offers ocean safaris that attract tourists, wildlife photographers, corporate groups, documentary crews and marine enthusiasts from around the world.
Their wildlife and whale-watching cruises travel up to 50 kilometres over 3–4 hours, making them one of the longest ocean safari experiences along the South African coastline. These extended journeys increase the chances of spotting the incredible marine biodiversity found in Algoa Bay.
Visitors often encounter:
-
Southern right whales
-
Humpback whales
-
Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins
-
Bottlenose and common dolphins
-
African penguins
-
Cape gannets and other seabirds
The bay is also home to one of the largest breeding colonies of African penguins in the world, making it a globally important marine wildlife destination.
Jake Keeton’s Journey into Marine Tourism
