The South African Police Service (SAPS) confirmed it has received a formal surrender order from the Eswatini government for Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande — the brothers accused of murdering renowned rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his close friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.
Forbes and Motsoane were shot dead outside a restaurant on Florida Road in Durban in February 2023, in what police described as a coordinated hit. According to SAPS spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, logistical arrangements are being finalised to execute the extradition order on Tuesday, 11 November 2025.
Five other accused — Lindokuhle Thabani Mkhwanazi (30), Lindani Zenzele Ndimande (35), Siyanda Eddie Myeza (21), Mziwethemba Harvey Gwabeni (36), and Lindokuhle Lindo Ndimande (29) — are scheduled to stand trial in July 2026.
The Ndimande brothers, who have been in custody in Eswatini since February 2024, had previously resisted extradition. However, in a surprising turn of events, they abandoned their appeal on Monday, 3 November 2025, paving the way for their return to South Africa.
“The brothers face 24 charges across three cases, including conspiracy to commit murder, murder, attempted murder, and unlawful possession of automatic firearms and ammunition,” said Brigadier Mathe. “The SAPS remains confident that it has a watertight case against the pair.”
National Police Commissioner General Fannie Masemola commended Eswatini’s cooperation, stating, “The National Commissioner thanks the Eswatini authorities for their assistance in apprehending the pair and ensuring that justice is served.”
Interpol South Africa and Interpol Eswatini are coordinating the formal handover process to ensure the suspects’ safe and lawful transfer back to South Africa, where they will face trial.
