The TV host and comedian, who is a father of 12, recently addressed the topic on his podcast, We Playin’ Spades, alongside co-host Courtney Bee and former NFL players Ryan Clark and Channing Crowder. The discussion revolved around the increasing number of Black men opting for vasectomies, a decision Cannon acknowledges as “responsible” but not one he’s ready to make.
“I’m Not Done”—Cannon’s Thoughts on Vasectomy
During the conversation, Crowder jokingly suggested Cannon should consider the procedure, prompting a laugh from the 43-year-old entertainer.
“Feel like this is an intervention,” Cannon quipped, before admitting, “I just—I’m not done.”
When asked if he would have another child with one of his current partners or someone new, Cannon gave a characteristically unpredictable response: “I don’t know. That’s the thing. I leave it to the Lord.”
Nick Cannon’s Growing Family
Cannon, who first became a father in 2011, has welcomed children with multiple partners, each of whom he speaks highly of. His large family includes:
- Twins Moroccan and Monroe – with ex-wife Mariah Carey
- Son Golden Sagon, daughter Powerful Queen, and son Rise Messiah – with Brittany Bell
- Twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, plus daughter Beautiful Zeppelin – with Abby De La Rosa
- Son Legendary Love – with Bre Tiesi
- Daughter Onyx Ice Cole – with LaNisha Cole
- Daughter Halo Marie and late son Zen – with Alyssa Scott
Tragically, Cannon’s son Zen passed away at five months old in December 2021 due to brain cancer.
Fatherhood Challenges: “I’m Spread Thin”
While Cannon embraces his role as a father, he has admitted that managing time with all of his children is his biggest challenge.
“Being a father of multiple kids, the biggest guilt on me is that I don’t get to spend enough time with all my children,” he shared in a 2022 interview on The Checkup with Dr. Agus. “One, ‘cause I’m constantly working, and two, because I’m just spread thin.”
Despite this, Cannon remains devoted to his children, frequently sharing moments with them on social media and emphasizing his desire to be a present and supportive father.
Will Cannon Have More Kids?
While some fans and critics have questioned his expanding family, Cannon has always maintained that he sees each of his children as a blessing. With no vasectomy in sight, it seems likely that the Masked Singer host may continue to add to his legacy.
Whether or not baby number 13 is on the horizon, one thing is clear—Nick Cannon is embracing fatherhood on his own terms.
