The annual Jam ’n Jazz (J’J’) LOVELYMENT pilgrimage is set to return for its third year of blissful celebration on September 13 and 14, 2025. The two-day event promises an unforgettable experience of farm picnicking, live music, dancing, fashion, and most importantly, the celebration of friendship bonds. This year’s event, like those before it, will unfold in the stunning gardens of the Meander Estate, nestled in the cultural heart of Bronkhorstspruit.
J’J’ LOVELYMENT has grown into much more than just an event—it’s a movement. Attendees, who are affectionately referred to as “Lovelyment patrons,” bring their vibrant energy and love for life, turning the festival into an uplifting celebration of human connections and soulful experiences. For two days, they gather to enjoy not only the performances but also the company of one another, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come.
The Origins of J’J’ LOVELYMENT: A Movement in the Making
Bongani uMkhonza Mahlangu, the founder and curator of J’J’, describes the festival as a “crusade” aimed at spreading the spirit of Lovelyment. “We are building something monumental,” he says. “Although we’re still in the early stages, the future is crystal clear. The greatest Lovelyment in our lifetime is in the making.”
This growing festival is not just about entertainment it’s about building a community. After the 2024 edition of J’J’, organisers conducted a survey to gather feedback from attendees. The positive responses and constructive criticism have motivated them to continue expanding the festival, ensuring that each year is better than the last. J’J’ is quickly becoming known as a space where people can come together to celebrate life in a unique and meaningful way.
A Journey of Lovelyment Across Provinces
In the lead-up to the main event in September, J’J’ will embark on a “Making LOVELYMENT” tour, stopping in Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Gauteng, and the Northwest. This tour will feature sessions with jazz social clubs and soul session movements, spreading the spirit of Lovelyment far and wide. During these sessions, participants in the J’nJ’ Dobol Star and Best Dresser competitions will be filmed and photographed, with R30,000 in prizes up for grabs, generously sponsored by the Meander Estate.
The winners of these competitions will be chosen by the public through SMS voting, adding an extra layer of excitement and engagement as the tour unfolds. The J’J’ organisers are aiming to create an inclusive, interactive festival experience that gives everyone a chance to shine.
The Heart of JAM ’n JAZZ: Music, Dance, and Fashion
The JAM ’n JAZZ LOVELYMENT pilgrimage is more than just a festival—it’s a multisensory experience. Alongside the beautiful landscapes of the Meander Estate, patrons will enjoy a blend of live jazz, soulful music, and dance, with the famous Dobol Dancing being one of the standout features. The event also serves as a platform for fashion enthusiasts to express their creativity, with the Best Dresser competition adding a splash of style and flair.
For Bongani Mahlangu, the essence of J’J’ is captured in the joyous energy that emanates from every patron. As he puts it, “J’J’ is about making Lovelyment the way of life, spreading joy, connection, and good vibes. It’s about building something that people want to be a part of—not just for the moment but for the memories it creates and the connections it fosters.”
Looking Forward to the 2025 J’J’ LOVELYMENT Pilgrimage

The Making LOVELYMENT tour, the exciting competitions, and the unique blend of music, fashion, and friendship all promise to deliver an event unlike any other.
