Valentina Gomez Tells Black Americans to ‘Kindly’ Leave the United States if not happy

Valentina Gomez, a Missouri Republican and Trump supporter, sparked outrage with a controversial message telling Black Americans to leave the US if they don’t like the country. Her comments, made before the Juneteenth holiday, have drawn significant backlash.

Valentina Gomez, a Republican candidate for Missouri’s Secretary of State, has ignited controversy with a provocative message directed at Black Americans. In a video posted before Juneteenth, Gomez suggested that Black Americans who are unhappy with the country should “kindly get the f*** out.” This statement comes as Juneteenth, a national holiday commemorating the end of slavery, approaches.

Gomez, known for her controversial and attention-seeking antics, has previously made headlines for her inflammatory remarks. A staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump, she has gained notoriety for stunts such as advising followers not to be “weak and gay” while wearing a bulletproof vest. In her latest video, she labeled Juneteenth as the “most ratchet” of holidays and voiced her opposition to reparations for slavery.

“Reparations from slavery and Black victimization are about to be shoved down our throats for the most wretched holiday in America,” Gomez said in the video, sporting a shirt that read “Don’t be weak and gay.” She criticized the Black Lives Matter movement, questioning how the funds raised had been used to benefit Black lives.

“It is outrageous to see people ask you for reparations, even though they never went through slavery. These ungrateful people should be celebrating because they were born in the greatest nation to ever exist,” Gomez added. “Here’s a tip – If you don’t like America, kindly, get the f*** out.”

Gomez, a 25-year-old Colombian immigrant, appears in the video holding an assault rifle and dressed in military-style clothing, despite having no military background, according to Newsweek. Her statements have sparked significant backlash, particularly given her recent bid for political office.

As Gomez campaigns for the Republican nomination for Missouri Secretary of State, she faces competition from seven other Republicans in the primary scheduled for August 6. Notably, former President Trump has not endorsed any candidate in this race.

Her controversial rhetoric stands in stark contrast to the current administration’s stance on Juneteenth. President Joe Biden recognized Juneteenth as a federal holiday in 2021, marking the first new federal holiday since Martin Luther King Jr. Day was established in 1983.

Gomez’s previous antics include posting a video of herself running in a bulletproof vest, where she stated, “In America, you can be anything you want. Don’t be weak and gay. Stay f****** hard.” Additionally, she has faced criticism for burning LGBT+ books with a flamethrower and making derogatory comments about WNBA star Brittney Griner, suggesting Griner should be in a Russian prison rather than participating in the Olympics.

Gomez’s comments have not only drawn criticism from the public but also from media outlets. Recently, Comedy Central’s The Daily Show mocked her for her contradictory views on women’s basketball and LGBT+ athletes, highlighting the inconsistencies in her statements.

As Gomez continues her campaign, her divisive rhetoric and attention-grabbing tactics raise questions about the impact of such controversial figures in American politics and the broader implications for social unity and discourse.
