Beverly Hills, CA — Film producer and faith-based author DeVon Franklin has married personal trainer Maria Castillo in a lavish lakeside ceremony at Casa Lago Beverly Hills on Saturday, August 2.
The couple, who made their relationship public in November during the 14th Annual Merge Awards, described the wedding as the true beginning of their love story.
A Wedding Rooted in Love and Intention
Franklin told People that the goal was to create an event that felt like them and brought their guests into their journey.
“So often people look at a wedding as the end of a love story, but it’s just the beginning. We wanted people to experience our love for one another,” Franklin said.
Castillo echoed the sentiment, adding that every detail — from music to décor — was intentional and spiritually meaningful.
A Gown with Culture and Elegance
For her big day, Castillo wore a custom Galia Lahav gown with intricate lacework, delicate sleeves, a dramatic train, and Spanish-inspired detailing.
“I envisioned something timeless, elegant, and romantic, but rooted in my culture… Classic but bold with tradition and passion woven in,” she shared.
Franklin opted for a dark Giorgio Armani suit paired with Christian Louboutin dress shoes.
