T-Boz of TLC Hospitalized with Severe Abdominal Blockage, Forced to Cancel Shows

Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, one-half of the iconic R&B duo TLC, is currently on the mend after a sudden health scare forced the group to cancel multiple shows. T-Boz was diagnosed with a severe abdominal blockage, causing her and bandmate Chilli to halt their tour.

The duo had just arrived in Syracuse, New York, on August 23rd, prepared to perform at the New York State Fair when T-Boz suddenly fell ill. Just before hitting the stage, she experienced intense nausea, vomiting, and crippling abdominal cramps, leading to an immediate hospital visit.

TLC’s official Instagram account shared the unfortunate news with their fans, explaining that the sudden illness led to the cancellation of their Syracuse show, as well as a performance at Foxwoods in Connecticut. Fans were naturally concerned, but T-Boz took to Instagram herself two days later to reassure her followers that she was on the road to recovery. She posted, “I’m on The Mend!!! This Was Just One Of Those Unexpected Things That I Had No Control Over!” promising fans that she plans to make up for the missed performances.

A representative for TLC provided further details, revealing that the blockage was related to scar tissue from a previous c-section. They emphasized that while the situation was serious, T-Boz is “doing great!!” and is expected to recover fully.

As of August 27th, there has been no official word on whether T-Boz has been discharged from the hospital. However, according to TLC’s website, the duo is still scheduled to perform in Highland Park, Illinois, on August 31st, with additional tour dates lined up through October 3rd.
