A Career Built on Dedication and Service
Glover’s passion for journalism was evident early on, growing up in Athens, Alabama. He graduated from Troy University with degrees in Broadcast Journalism, Music, Theatre, and Public Relations. His career began at WTVM News Leader 9 in Georgia, followed by roles at CBS 47 and Fox 30 in Florida and WDIV Local 4 News in Michigan. He joined KTRK ABC-13 in Houston in 2015, quickly rising to evening anchor by 2018. In October 2023, he moved to Los Angeles to co-anchor KCAL’s 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts.
A Legacy of Community Advocacy
Glover was as dedicated to community service as he was to his profession. In 2014, he founded the Chauncy Glover Project, a mentorship program aimed at empowering Black and Latino youth through education and self-empowerment. His work earned him multiple Emmys and the Angelo B. Henderson Community Service Award from the National Association of Black Journalists.
