Newly released documents from the US Department of Justice have revealed extensive contact between convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and some of the world’s most recognisable celebrities — including British supermodel Naomi Campbell and Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger.
The latest tranche of Epstein-related records, released last week, spans millions of pages and includes emails, diary entries, flight discussions and correspondence from Epstein’s assistants. Authorities have cautioned that the documents do not imply criminal wrongdoing by those named, but they provide fresh insight into Epstein’s social and professional networks.
Naomi Campbell’s Repeated Contact With Epstein
According to the documents, Naomi Campbell remained in contact with Epstein both before and after his 2008 conviction for sex offences involving a minor.
Emails and diary notes suggest Campbell invited Epstein to multiple high-profile events, including fashion parties, charity galas and her lavish 40th birthday celebration in Cannes. Other correspondence shows Campbell requesting to use Epstein’s private jet and attempting to reach him urgently on several occasions.
One 2015 message reads:
“Please call Naomi right away… she really needs to speak to you.”
Another message from the same year states:
“I want to see Jeffrey.. is he going to Morocco?”
Earlier communications appear to involve business discussions. In 2005, Campbell asked to meet Epstein regarding her swimwear line for Victoria’s Secret, writing that she had photos and sample designs available.
In 2010, Epstein’s assistant arranged a meeting between Campbell and retail executive Linda Wachner at Epstein’s home, reportedly attended by Campbell and her partner at the time.
Mentions in Victim Accounts
Campbell’s name also appears in statements from two alleged Epstein victims. One woman claimed she first met Epstein at a party at his New York mansion where Campbell was present. Another alleged that Epstein promised her modelling opportunities, telling her he “knew Naomi Campbell.”
However, by 2010, the correspondence appears more social than professional. Campbell reportedly invited Epstein to multiple events, including a Dolce & Gabbana tribute in Paris and a charity fashion gala she was organising.
In 2012, Campbell was invited by a third party to dine in Paris with Epstein and filmmaker Woody Allen.
Documents indicate contact between Campbell and Epstein spanned from 2003 to 2016, including diary notes such as “TBD Naomi Campbell” and messages noting missed calls.
In 2016, emails suggest Campbell sought transport on Epstein’s private plane, with his assistant noting that she had no backup travel plans and had already booked accommodation and transport.
Campbell has previously condemned Epstein’s actions, describing his behaviour as “indefensible” and stating that she stands with the victims.
Her representatives were approached for comment following the document release.
Mick Jagger Also Named in Epstein Files
Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger is also referenced in the newly released documents. A photograph published last week shows Jagger seated next to Epstein at a restaurant.
Emails from 2010 indicate that Epstein attempted to arrange a dinner with Jagger in New York, with Jagger’s assistant responding that he was in France at the time but open to connecting in the future.
Another email, sent by Boris Nikolic — a former aide to Bill Gates — suggested coordinating a dinner involving Epstein, Jagger, former US President Bill Clinton, former US Solicitor General Ken Starr and theatre director Julie Taymor.
Records also show that Ghislaine Maxwell shipped a package to Jagger in the UK using Epstein’s FedEx account in December 2003.
Jagger had previously been listed in Epstein’s contact book, though no allegations of wrongdoing have been made against him.
Annabelle Neilson and Recruitment Allegations
The documents further reference British socialite and reality TV star Annabelle Neilson, who died in 2018. Emails between Neilson and Epstein between 2010 and 2012 suggest she offered to introduce women to Epstein, referring to assembling “a little group of girls.”
In one message, Neilson wrote:
“Hopefully one of them will have all the right qualities you desire.”
Other emails show Epstein asking Neilson if she knew “any cute friends” in Paris.
Neilson was part of London’s elite social scene and appeared on Bravo’s Ladies of London.
Official Caution From US Authorities
The US Department of Justice has stressed that the Epstein files may contain unverified or falsely submitted material and that the inclusion of names does not imply criminal conduct.
While the documents deepen public understanding of Epstein’s extensive global network, authorities have urged caution in interpreting their contents.
