The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, commonly known as the Hawks, has arrested the Director-General of the National Department of Health and two other senior officials over an allegedly irregular tender award.
According to Hawks spokesperson Colonel Katlego Mogale, Sandile Buthelezi and the two officials were arrested on 2 March 2026 following a two-year investigation.
