Jayne Trcka, a former professional bodybuilder and actress best known for her role in the original Scary Movie, has died at the age of 62.
Her son confirmed her death to TMZ, with reports indicating that Trcka died on December 12 in San Diego, California. The San Diego Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed her passing, noting that her cause of death is still pending.
According to her son, there were no known health issues in the period leading up to her death.
Found Unresponsive at Her Home
TMZ reported that a close friend became concerned after being unable to reach Trcka by phone over several days. The friend reportedly went to check on her in person and found her unresponsive, prompting a call to emergency services.
The San Diego medical examiner later told The Sun that trauma was present on the body, but officials said it was too early to determine whether it contributed to her death.
“There was trauma to the body, but we wouldn’t be able to indicate cause of death at this time,” the examiner said.
