WNBA star Angel Reese has been named Style Influencer of the Year at the 38th annual Footwear News (FN) Achievement Awards, held at Cipriani South Street in New York. At just 22 years old, the Chicago Sky forward is making waves both on and off the court, with a thriving career that extends beyond basketball.
Speaking at the event, Reese reflected on her journey, saying, “I’m still figuring life out, but this is just the beginning.” Her determination and influence were highlighted by Tobe Nwigwe, who introduced her. “She’s a WNBA All-Star, an entrepreneur, a fashion influencer, and an inspiration to the next generation. She is unapologetically herself on and off the court,” Nwigwe said.
Reese’s partnership with Reebok, which began in 2023, was a significant milestone in her rising influence in fashion. She debuted her first Reebok collection in July, blending performance and lifestyle staples. The line includes updated versions of the BB 4000 II and Classic Leather sneakers, as well as Reebok’s first basketball shoe in over a decade, the Engine A.
During her acceptance speech, Reese gave special thanks to Reebok, saying, “I want to give a huge shoutout to Reebok for just believing in me and bringing my vision to life.”
From being a WNBA All-Star to a celebrated style icon, Reese’s success showcases her versatility and ambition. As she continues to inspire young athletes and fashion enthusiasts alike, it’s clear that her journey is just beginning.
