In a match held at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy, the Proteas bowled out Afghanistan for a paltry 56 runs in just 11.5 overs. Tabraiz Shamsi was the standout bowler, claiming three wickets for only six runs, achieving an impressive economy rate of 3.27. Marco Jansen also made a significant contribution, taking three wickets.

Afghanistan, having won the toss and elected to bat, struggled against South Africa’s disciplined bowling attack. The Proteas then chased down the target in just 8.5 overs, finishing with 67 balls to spare and only one wicket lost, highlighting their batting prowess and making a strong statement ahead of the final.
