Heartbreak for fans as the “Water” singer prioritizes health amidst worsening injury.

Tyla’s fans will need to wait a bit longer to catch the breakthrough artist on the road. The “Water” singer announced that she has canceled her upcoming North American tour due to a longstanding injury that had worsened over time.

The “Tyla Tour” was initially set to begin on March 21 in Oslo, Norway, with eight international stops scheduled. The 22-year-old had intended to later return for North American performances, a moment her fans eagerly anticipated. However, all North American dates have since been canceled, while plans are in place to reschedule her shows in the U.K. and Europe.

Tyla released a statement on Instagram Story writing, “It saddens me to let you know I will no longer be able to perform over the next 10 days, affecting the following festivals: Roskilde, Palmesus, Open’er, Saga, and Montreux Jazz.” The “Water” singer noted, “I am currently doing physical therapy and easing back into doing shows consistently,” before adding, “Trust that I am doing everything I can to get on as many stages while simultaneously recovering fully.”

She concluded, “Thank you for your patience and understanding. Can’t wait to see you all again soon, stay safe & healthy my Tygers.”
