Thuso Mbedu takes on the role of Zelie, a young woman in a magical African kingdom on a mission to reclaim the magic stolen from her people by the oppressive King Saran.
The story follows Zelie, her brother Tzain (played by Tosin Cole), Princess Amari (Amandla Stenberg), and Prince Inan (Damson Idris) as they band together to challenge the king’s reign and restore their land’s lost magic.
This dynamic fantasy tale is set to bring Adeyemi’s rich, African-inspired world to life on the big screen.
